Meet Our Staff

Donnie Snyder, Greater Fort Worth Executive Director      dsnyder@fca.org

Donnie Snyder became Greater Fort Worth FCA Director in January 2006. Prior to that Snyder served as the Greater Dallas FCA Director from 1988-1998 where he worked closely with board chairman, Tom Landry (former Dallas Cowboys Head Coach) to implement all facets of the FCA program. Under his leadership the organization grew in every measurable area.

Snyder is co-author of the book “Tom Landry– Man of Character” along with Ken Horton and also helped in the production of and wrote the introduction for the book “More Than Winners”, authored by Craig Massey. Both books are published by Cross Training Publishing.

Tom Landry said of Snyder, “It takes a great deal of dedication for anyone to give his life to Christian work. Donnie has sacrificed tremendously to serve the Lord and his leadership enabled the Greater Dallas FCA to expand its staff and program (and maintain its position as the largest FCA program in America).”

Raised in Dallas, Texas, Donnie excelled both as a high school and small college baseball player, before moving on to earn a B.S. in Education from the University of Texas. Snyder was a football coach for five years in the Richardson and Mesquite school districts. He also has over ten years experience in business. Additionally, Snyder was the Western Regional Director for Washington, D.C. based Family Research Council and Regional Major Gifts Director for the American Heart Association.

Donnie’s involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes began during his sophomore year of college and continued through his coaching and business career. He has been involved in FCA as an athlete, coach, non-coach volunteer and staff. Under his leadership, the Greater Fort Worth FCA is experiencing steady growth in all areas. The ministry had no FCA field staff in March 2006 and now has six total field staff (3 full-time & 3 part-time) working to implement the FCA ministry in the schools and communities throughout Greater Fort Worth.

Donnie has two grown daughters, is ordained and a member of Willow Bend Church in Plano, Texas.
